Welcome!

After much deliberating, I've decided to start a blog. Jerad and I are so proud of our first home. We are constantly working to improve it, so we thought we'd share our journey with you. Happy renovating!

Katherine is almost five months!

Wow!  Time is going too fast.  Katherine is our little angel.  I'm going to try to do a better job of writing down what's been going on with her lately.  Here's my first attempt-

Katherine....
  • Found her toes- she loves rolling around on her back and from side to side.  One day last week, Katherine put her toes in her mouth.  Daddy was really impressed by this trick!
  • IS SUPER close to rolling over.  She starts on her back, rolls to her side, and if the toy is enticing enough, she'll flip to her belly and straighten up her arms.  I can't wait till she does it without effort!  She hasn't flipped from belly to back yet without us pushing her over.
  • Sleeps on her side for naps and bedtime.  We haven't swaddled her arms for about a month, but she still likes to have her blanket snuggly around her belly and legs
  • Sleeps in footed PJ's
  • Wears 6-9 month clothes
  • Is eating solids-  we started at 4.5 months and she's doing AWESOME- sweet potatoes, rice cereal, squash, peaches, and bananas so far.
  • Drinks 7oz bottles every four hours-  Mom is still breastfeeding and pumping.
  • Is learning to drink from her sippy cup.  We've been trying to give her water to help her tummy with digestion of new foods.  So far, so good!
  • Loves her nanny, Reyes
  • Is napping three times during the day.  Bathtime at 7pm, play and book, last bottle at 8pm...sleeps till 2am , then 6am, and back down till 7:30am typically
  • Is VERY close to sitting up on her own
  • Loves the mirror and playing with her puppies
Now for some snaps-

In her workout jumpsuit for a walk around the block
 Baby K loves her stroller
Don't those eyes look straight through you....I always wonder what she's thinking.

Garden update- everything is exploding....anyone need some Basil or Poblanos?
