Welcome!

After much deliberating, I've decided to start a blog. Jerad and I are so proud of our first home. We are constantly working to improve it, so we thought we'd share our journey with you. Happy renovating!

Trip update

So because Jerad and I took so many pictures with our new fancy, smancy camera, I'm going to break this update into a couple posts.

We had a fantastic trip- better than we both expected!  The cruise was awesome with all it's anemities...having one central place for our clothes, a friendly and attentive waitstaff, a diverse and entertaining casino, disco club, karaoke & piano bar and the list goes on....  The food was delicious (we ate five times a day-ish), the drinks hit the spot- Sangria, wine, beer, you name it..., and the ports were fantastic!  We felt like we got to enjoy diverse spots throughout Europe without being rushed.  Here's a little bit of our journey...

Do we look like tourists, or what?!?!  Fly us to Barcelona, Espana!

First night at dinner in the ship's dining room.

First stop-  Toulon, France - on this day we slept in, then casually explored the port of Toulon.  We checked out some local beaches, walked around some sleepy shops, and eventually sat down for a quick bite to eat.  Jerad ordered Beef Tartar by mistake- RAW ground beef!  SICKO!  Needless to say it was a funny first meal off the ship.  We found our Spanish background didn't help us communicate much to the French waitress.  Oh well, at least we ate the fries!

So we went back to the ship and had some pool time and a nap-

Second night at dinner on the ship-  beautiful sunsets each evening...

Day Two-  we docked in Cannes, France.  We decided to be adventurous and try the train since Jerad had never experienced that in Europe.  So we bought 'tickets to nowhere' (we didn't know where we were going), and hopped on.  We decided to get off in Nice, France.  Nice is a well-developed town with beaches, shopping and many cafes.  Nice pronounced "Niece" is very nice!  =)

After Nice, we got back on the train and jumped off in Antibes, France.  We stumbled upon Picasso's museum (pic below).   The beach is to the left.  Not a cloud in the sky!

I loved Antibes- it seemed more 'local' France.  People were very friendly, the architecture was quaint and quiet and they had beautiful landscaping throughout.

Back on the train again to Cannes, France.  Here, we enjoyed a couple cold beverages at a cafe, browsed the shopping streets and markets and found the beach again.  Some of the women were topless which was interesting to view.

Dinner, day Three-  love the mountains in the background. Again, another beautiful night!

Late night, day three after dancing at the 'Catacomb' nightclub.  Jerad and I made friends with the DJ and some Saudi Arabian girls who lovedddd dancing with us, night after night.   Below is a picture of the pizza from Sorento's on the ship- yum yum delicious...I think we went here late night almost every night on the ship!  Notice Jerad's sweat on his shirt.  We got great workouts from all the walking and dancing on this trip!

I'll talk about the other places in another post!  Have a great day!
